CHAOS Magazine goes PRINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chaos is beautiful. The quote that CHAOS Magazine represents. CHAOS is a quarterly magazine focusing on fashion, models, music, art, and lifestyle & culture. They focus strongly on editorial fashion photography and pride themselves on having beautiful fashion editorials featuring the work of brilliant photographers from around the globe. (I'll vouch for this.) Also, their music section has been known to feature some great musicians on the rise. CHAOS is best described as the magazine you look for when you crave something more ... more edge, more creativity, more of what the others don't have, more art, more originality, more good solid envelope pushing. After a year as just a digital publication they've taken the leap to print and are happy to announce their first print issue, The Vintage Issue, Winter 09/10 out the end of January 2010. The issue is currently available for pre-order as there are only a limited number of copies. If you wish to own the first copy of this awesome magazine you can visit their the shop here: WWW.CHAOS-MAG.COM/SHOP

CHAOS Knits: Fashion Forward Knit Accessories

I came across this new accessory knit line while in a mad search for a slouchy beanie. They have beautiful hand knit accessories specializing in knit beanies and scarves and they come in about every color under the sun, talk about selection! The hardest time I had was deciding on what color I wanted to purchase. Then, I came across the CHAOS Signature Scrap Scarf which is a brilliant idea of making a scarf out of the left over yarn from the beanies they make. The Scrap Scarf costs $135. Fine by me since no two of them are going to look the same, it's a one of a kind garment. Another beautiful scarf they have is called the Forever and Ever Scarf which is a circular scarf that is two tone and can also be worn as a hood over the head, this one costs $150.

Overall their prices are definitely reasonable too, $50 to $65 for their beanies and the scarfs run from $100 to $150. Considering these are knit by hand and not a machine they have me sold! Check out there website here for more eye candy: www.chaosknits.com and shop their e-shop <-- by clicking there.

Big Watches = Love

I cannot deny the fact that I have been in love, obsessed really, with thick leather watches. My recent discovery has been this brand called Michele Watches. They make these stunning larger face watches, also known as the "man watch" and give you the option of choosing your strap. If you want a leather strap, snake skin, gold, silver, white gold they have every option possible. Personally, I always love either black leather or brown as they go easy with anything in your wardrobe. Don't worry though if colors if up your alley Michele offers many other colors from multi colored, pink, purple, red, white you name it. Not just different colors they also have different face shapes too, square large faces and if larger isn't your thing they have mini faces for dainty lovers as well.

My favorite, you might have guess is the image right there. This watch is from the CSX series, is unisex, has a mother of pearl face, offers interchangeable straps and has gorgeous genuine hand-set diamonds; .60ctw and 100 stones around bezel! This watch is beautiful but remember something so pretty has to have a price. This watch will set you back $995, but hey I bet you'll have it forever. Investment? Watches are, aren't they?

Young & Electric!

"We wanted something young, something that felt fresh, so we looked to surfing and skating, the things we grew up on," said Lazaro Hernandez backstage during his show. Well that is definitely what they gave us, the colors were bold and electric. The funky kid was definitely flying full color on the catwalk this fashion week. They said they were inspired by surfing and skating and that vibe was apparent throughout their show. The bight blues, yellows and greens definitely scream surfer and skater.

Bringing back the tie dye from years past, there is the hippie inspired feeling in them but still modern day. I would say a hippie of today would definitely rock one of these dresses with a feather headpiece. Done deal! These two guys nailed it. Spring, I am so looking forward to seeing you! ;)

Sequined Leggings- Fall Trend

We've pretty much already figured out that leggings are here to stay, for a bit anyway. Right now the fashion industry is just thinking up different ways to make them more interesting. Adding sequins! I think they're pretty hot definitely better then the ones that have holes down the side, I hate those. Besides the ones with holes shouldn't be made in anything larger than a medium. :/
These leggings in the photo are from Custo Barcelona, the design house from Spain and that image is their recent campaign. Be on the look out for them in the coming shows at Bryant Park, and also enjoy Bryant Park since this is the last fashion week that will be taking place at Bryant Park before the switch in 2010 to the Lincoln Center. Boo hoo, Bryant Park has been fun, I've seen many shows there in the last 2 years.

Pegging jeans to make a comeback...?

I'm sure some of you won't remember (maybe you will) the faze the boys went through back in the 90's when they were pegging their jeans. Well I do because my older brother and all of his friends did it and it was the cool thing to do and actually pretty hot. Then, like any other trend... BAM it was a thing of the past and it was over. Well, as we all know fashion repeats itself just like history and I sense a comeback of "pegging your jeans". Check out Exhibit A, to your left. These are a pair of jeans by Numph and actually called the Button Cuff Denim. They made it a bit easier since there is a "technique" to pegging your jeans but these Numph jeans give the same effect, just button at the ankle.

Give it to me now photos!!!!!! Instantly!

Now why in the world would you ever want to get rid of instant photos? That is still beyond me. Sure digital cameras are amazing but come on, there is nothing like taking a photo and having the camera spit it out right then. I mean am I right, or am I right?

Well there is hope... I was just informed by a few friends that the polaroid will be resurrected! My life will be complete again!!! Apparently someone has bought the rights to the polaroid and will start producing the film again within one year. I guess that means I don't need to by the new Fuji instant camera that was suppose to take the place of the polaroid. Now this is just what is going around, I hope and pray it is true. I was so devastated when the news was out that they were stopping the polaroid film and cameras. The Polaroid is a huge American staple, my entire baby book is filled with Polaroids.

Long live the Pola!!!!!!
